Video Intake

Configure a video intake endpoint — a URL that receives files from an approved app or integration — so submitted video is analyzed and results are delivered to an agent or a folder.

Auth: Intake key (generated)

How it works

Video Intake configures an API endpoint — a URL that receives files from another app — so an approved sender integration can submit video for analysis, with results delivered to an agent or a folder. The Command form configures the endpoint; creating an intake is local setup, and no endpoint or results exist until you create it.

01

Before you start

  • A raia Command project
  • An approved sender integration or app that will submit video
02

What you need to make the connection

FieldWhere to get it
None for configurationThe form asks for configuration, not external provider credentials.
Endpoint key (after Create)Shown in the creation response and sent as the X-Raia-Intake-Key header. API uploads require this generated intake key — keep it private.
Results signing secret (after Create)Shown in the creation response; it verifies the X-Raia-Signature header on results delivered to your Results URL.

Recommended practice: keep credentials private. If one is exposed, revoke or rotate it with the provider before reconnecting.

The product instructions show the sender sequence: POST to the endpoint's /uploads path with the intake key, PUT the file to the returned upload URL, POST to /jobs/<job_id>/start with the key, then poll GET /jobs/<job_id> until the result is ready.

Optionally save results to a folder, then click Create video intake. Review the delivery and storage choices before creating the intake.

Good to know

  • After Create video intake, check the creation response for your endpoint and credentials. Keep them private, and check an approved submission’s job status and delivered result before relying on the intake.
  • The form's copy does not establish deletion or retention guarantees for collected video; confirm those with your administrator before collecting real footage.
  • For your approved sender integration, follow the upload, start and poll sequence and validate result signatures. Configuration alone does not mean a video has been submitted or analyzed.
