Projects

Create projects, apply folder templates, and manage project settings.

A project is the container for everything Command knows about a body of work — folders, documents, connector imports, AI output, team access, and reports. Projects are scoped to an organization and are the unit you grant access to.

In this section

  • Create a project and apply a folder template in one step.
  • Read the project overview: stats, members, and active AI modes.
  • Edit project settings, type, appearance, and AI configuration later.
  • Find projects fast across one or many organizations.

What's inside

  1. 01

    Creating a project

Click New Project in the sidebar, give it a name, choose a project type, and optionally apply a folder template (for example Financials, Legal, HR) to build the structure automatically. AI settings such as automatic conversion can be turned on now or later. Every new project starts with a default General folder.

  2. 02

    Project overview

Name, description, document stats, team members and roles, and badges showing whether Conversion and Training are Automatic or Manual. Quick links jump to the Data Room, reports, and team settings.

  3. 03

    Editing settings

Update name, description, project type, AI configuration, and appearance at any time from the project's edit page — including the folder icon color, which makes projects easier to spot in long lists.

  4. 04

    Browsing projects

The Projects page lists everything you have access to, grouped by organization, with Project Name as the first column. Search filters the list, and the row menu jumps straight to team settings, reports, or activity logs. Members of multiple organizations can toggle between My Organizations and All Organizations.
